About Madison Throws Club

Madison Throws Club had a simple beginning, we started in 2002 when a few Madison Memorial throwers asked Coach Frontier if they could throw more in the summer.  Since then MTC has grown to help hundreds of track and field throwers from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan each year.  With the help of many of the best coaches in the Midwest MTC athletes have gone on to win Conference and State Championships, set school and state records, compete at the national level, and continue on to have great success at the college level.

Our simple mission:
Improve athletes in the throwing events in the state of Wisconsin and beyond by offering high quality coaching and instruction.

Time to squeeze our last outdoor session of 2012 in...This Sunday, Oct 21, 10am.

Still working on the WINTER SESSION Schedule.  Sessions will be on Saturday afternoons, hopefully 1 a month starting in NOVEMBER and going through February.  STAY TUNED.

I will be posting links for CLINICS in and around WISCONSIN for those of you who are looking to throw as much as possible this winter.

MTC's Samantha Noennig wins AAU discus National Championship

Out of 83 discus throwers, SAM Noennig WON the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston! She had 4 legal throws and all were personal bests! Her best was 123'6" which was a 17.5 foot PR! Sam, I am so impressed with what you have accomplished in just your first summer of training. Keep working hard - and anything is possible. Madison Throws Club girls sweep City Meet Shot Put

Congratulations to KeKe Burks, Madison LaFollette (sr) won the girls shot put at the 2012 Madison City Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 24 at the UW Shell.
The University of North Dakota recruit threw for a new P.R. of 38'0.25". She had several throws that surpassed that mark but she could not stay in the circle on her bigger efforts. I believe there is more to come Ms. Burks.
Many other MTC'ers got in the act sweeping the top 4 spots and 6 of the top 8 spots.
