WINTER MTC DATES

The MADISON THROWS CLUB winter session dates will be out shortly.  We will be THROWING on Saturday afternoons beginning in November and straight through the start of the WIAA start in March.  The schedule is being finalized as I write this.

About Madison Throws Club

Madison Throws Club had a simple beginning, we started in 2002 when a few Madison Memorial throwers asked Coach Frontier if they could throw more in the summer.  Since then MTC has grown to help hundreds of track and field throwers from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan each year.  With the help of many of the best coaches in the Midwest MTC athletes have gone on to win Conference and State Championships, set school and state records, compete at the national level, and continue on to have great success at the college level.

Our simple mission:
Improve athletes in the throwing events in the state of Wisconsin and beyond by offering high quality coaching and instruction.

UW Whitewater to host Track and Field Clinic

UW-Whitewater to host Track and Field Learn-by-Doing Clinic on Sunday, February 17.
UW-Whitewater's Throws Coach, Dave Hahn, will lead you through a day of throws training.  Coach Hahn has coached 33 All-American's and 7 National Champions including former Madison Throws Club athlete Dana Thompson to her NCAA National Championship in the DISCUS.

Time to squeeze our last outdoor session of 2012 in...This Sunday, Oct 21, 10am.

Still working on the WINTER SESSION Schedule.  Sessions will be on Saturday afternoons, hopefully 1 a month starting in NOVEMBER and going through February.  STAY TUNED.

I will be posting links for CLINICS in and around WISCONSIN for those of you who are looking to throw as much as possible this winter.

MTC's Lindsay Herra adds the first Illinois State Championship

MTC is 9 years old and has had 9 athletes win WIAA State Championships in Shot Put and Discus. Last weekend MTC's and Boylan High School's (Rockford, IL) Lindsay Herra (jr) added to the tally with a 2012 Illinois Class 2A Championship in Discus. Her throw of 135-01 was 6 inches better then her throw in trials both throws would have won the meet. Congratulations to Lindsay on all of your hard work.
